    Yes, it’s confusing. We try to make it easy. A basic purchase would be calculated as follows:

    • Mattress Monster Home's (new, first-quality) marked prices are for the mattress & box spring.
    • Mattress Monster Annex's (scrach & dent) marked prices are for MATTRESS ONLY. Box springs are sold separately.
    • Add frame if necessary: $60 Queen, $80 King, $45 Twin/Full.
    • Add local delivery if necessary: $35 for Recession Buster (drop & go to your curb, you bring inside), $65 for Sleep Easy (we unwrap & set up basic frame if purchases; additional assembly extra).
    • Add tax: 7.125% for Ramsey County.
    • That’s it.

    You may also consider a mattress protector (essential for preserving the warranty, and deterring unwanted dust-mite friends).

    You can pick-up your purchase for free at our warehouse - no hidden pick-up charges!

    We are pleased to offer layaway. Layaway terms are as follows:

    • A minimum of $100 down payment is required.
    • The total balance due must be paid within 90 days. If it is not paid in full, any amount paid will be converted to store credit and the product will be released for sale to another customer.
    • Should you change your mind or your personal circumstances change, all refunds will be issued in store credit. No cash or credit card refunds.
    • Special orders will not be placed until payment is made in full. Item(s) will not be released until payment is made in full.
    • There are no exceptions or variations to this policy.

    Mattress Monster reserves the right to cease or temporarily cease new layaways at any time.

    When looking into financing options, we learned we would have to increase prices on all products to cover program costs, which would be unfair to those who don't need financing.

    You may notice competitor ads boasting "No Interest Financing!" However, on upon closer inspection, you may see that items purchased under financing might cost $999, but only $899 without financing. Paying $100 extra does does not sound like "free" financing to us.

    Therefore, we've decided not to offer financing, so we don't have to make up several different prices for one item, or penalize those who do not need financing by increasing the prices on all items.

    Instead, we offer a convenient layaway option (see above).

    Typically, your mattress is flexible and should not cause a problem. Box springs, however, are rigid and may present a problem. King box springs are essentially 2 Twin XL size, so you should be okay. Queen split box springs are available for additional charge.

    We also offer low-profile box springs for no additional charge when purchasing a new Sealy set, if they are requested in advance. These are a few inches shorter, but generally address a height desire, not a stairwell issue.

    If you get your regular box spring home and it doesn’t fit, please give us a call. We can usually figure out a solution for you.

    If you have a large-size SUV or van, there is a fair chance the mattress will fit, but the box spring will NOT. If you have a pickup, the queen set will generally work at an angle. King sets are split box springs (each Twin XL size). Stack the split box in first, then lay the mattress over the top. Should you choose to pick up, you must provide your own straps/rope/tie-downs, as our insurance does not allow us to provide them to customers.

    This is generally no problem at all and we'll be happy to hold on to it for a month or so at no charge. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time due to storage constraints.

    No. It's just us. Jeff’s family ran Butwinick Brothers Furniture for 60+ years in downtown Saint Paul. He is also an attorney with a bankruptcy practice. We appreciate every customer and order that allows us to be successful without being dependent on a corporate directive, and to turn an “idea” into a fun opportunity and local jobs for 7 great staff members.

    From June 2007 to May 2009, we operated in Burnsville Center under "Beddy Buy." Mattress Monster will continue to service all Beddy Buy issues.

    Antique mattress sets, otherwise known as 3/4 size, are available in most models and generally available within the normal time frame. Other special order sizes are also available.

    We accept all major credit cards. Your purchase will appear as Mattress Monster, LLC. If you purchased prior to Summer 2009, it would have appeared as Green Beds, LLC – that was our legal name.

    We have two delivery options available: $35 Recession Buster (drop & go to your curb, you bring inside), or $65 Sleep Easy (we unwrap & set up basic frame if purchased). Additional assembly or delivery beyond the local delivery area may be available for an additional charge.

    Deliveries are generally scheduled for Wednesday evenings and Saturday days, but we may consider your off-schedule delivery if you are expecting last-minute company or do not currently have a bed to sleep on. Please note that off-schedule deliveries are dependent upon staffing requirements.

    We carry high-quality, steel frames with a lifetime warranty. Queen frames have center support; King frames have double center support. Our frames satisfy all major mattress manufacturer warranty support requirements. $45 Twin/Full, $60 Queen, and $80 King. We may also have specials or heavy duty frames in stock as well.

    Will the frame your grandma gave you expand from Queen to King or Twin to Full? Maybe, maybe not. Feel free to email us a photo or call Jeff and describe it. We can always throw a spare frame on the delivery truck if you’re not sure.

    In order to offer the best prices, we order inventory on an as-needed basis. Additionally, due to the economy, our suppliers are not delivering as frequently as they had previously. Generally, Sealy items ordered by Sunday night are available that Friday afternoon. King Koil is typically 3-5 business days. Furniture pieces are generally 1-2 weeks or earlier. Please ask. If you need something right away, please visit call to check stock or to inquire about clearance items and secondary bedding at great values.

    For the sake of the environment, we ask that you try to post an ad on www.minneapolis.craigslist.org or similar to see if you can sell or donate your old mattress set to someone. If not, we charge $10 per piece removal fee. Removal is only available for our local customers. This is similar to what you are likely charged for your garbage service's extra-item fee. Please help your old mattress avoid the landfill.

    We are happy to offer our products to out-of-state customers. We prefer that you call or email to arrange this. Because of the size of most of our items, special delivery must be arranged. We can assist you with this. In general, shipping quotes for mattresses have been around $250, but depend on the size and the delivery destination.

    Yes, we love to take and process orders over the phone. We offer a basic selection of our available items on our website mainly as reference, but because you are generally making a large purchase, we prefer that you complete your purchase over the phone so that we can address all the details.

    We are an intentional small business, and you can expect small-shop service. This means every reasonable effort to assist you with your purchase satisfaction and service calls that work with your schedule. If you have questions or concerns, please let us know. Our goal is to arrive at a workable solution for any issues you may have.

    MATTRESSES - COMFORT GUARANTEE
    We offer a 60-Day Comfort Guarantee on all mattress purchases. We ask that you give your body 45 days to adjust to your new mattress. At that time, if you are not happy, please contact us within the next 15 days. In most cases, you can apply the cost of your purchase, less delivery and set-up fees, to another mattress of equal or greater value. If your new selection is of lesser value than your original purchase, you will receive a store credit. If you are unable to return the mattress to the warehouse and/or pick up your new selection, additional delivery fees will apply. Mattress Monster reserves the right to limit the number of comfort guarantees beyond one, at any time for any reason.

    Comfort Guarantee returns must be free of stains, odors, or other damage. Such damage voids the Comfort Guarantee. We recommend the use of a high-quality, waterproof mattress protector to protect your purchase. The Comfort Guarantee does not apply to special order items, including Twin XL, Full XL, Antique, or California King sizes.

    NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
    Due to their personal nature, we are unable to accept returns on the following items: pillows, sheets, and mattress protectors.

    FURNITURE
    Please inspect your purchase promptly after receiving it. Occasionally items arrive with slight damage. When this happens, we will work with you to get it fixed quickly. We will set a time to inspect and/or repair the item. If we determine it is unable to be repaired, we will make arrangements for manufacturer replacement or repair of the part(s) in question.

    Please contact us within 3 days of receipt to report any damage. After 3 days, any applicable service and repair fees will be charged to you. We strongly suggest that you document your claim in writing, via e-mail or regular mail. Due to manufacturer restrictions, if you are unavailable for service calls or are otherwise non-responsive for 30 days or longer, the claim will be considered closed, and the cost of any further repairs or replacements will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

    If you’d like to return your furniture for other reasons, including color, style, or size, or if you decline the suggested repair on a damaged part, please contact us within 3 days of receipt. Due to the size of furniture pieces and because warehousing space is limited, a 10% warehousing fee will be assessed, plus applicable delivery fees for transporting the returned item(s) to the warehouse. All requests for returns must be made within 3 days of receipt of your purchase. Furniture returns may not be made beyond 3 days.
